As a Senior Purchasing Coordinator, you won't simply be placing orders; you'll play a critical role in ensuring our production teams have the ingredients and materials needed to deliver on our mission every single day.
This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role for someone who thrives on solving problems, building relationships, improving processes, and making an impact. You'll work closely with Operations, Production, Warehouse, Food Safety, Finance, and suppliers to keep our supply chain moving and our customers served.

What You'll Do
  • Lead purchasing and order management activities for assigned categories and suppliers to ensure operational excellence.
  • Create and manage purchase orders while maintaining accurate supplier and master data within ERP systems and supplier portals.
  • Modify purchase orders and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate three-way matching between purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
  • Track inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier deliveries to ensure timely order fulfillment and uninterrupted production.
  • Partner closely with warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory counts and material availability.
  • Support daily production requisitions and proactively resolve supply shortages or disruptions.
  • Coordinate updated delivery schedules, substitutions, and contingency plans to minimize operational impact.
  • Escalate supply risks and work cross-functionally to drive rapid resolution.
  • Communicate supply updates and issues clearly to operations and leadership teams.
  • Monitor and document supplier performance metrics including service levels, delivery accuracy, and responsiveness.
  • Lead supplier recovery efforts and risk mitigation activities when performance issues arise.
  • Participate in supplier business reviews and delivery performance discussions.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships that support service, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Conduct material cost reviews, variance analysis, and cost change reporting.
  • Support cost management initiatives and maintain accurate cost standards within ERP systems.
  • Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and savings.
  • Support category management initiatives and strategic sourcing activities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and menu transitions.
  • Ensure supplier readiness and material availability for new items and programs.
  • Represent Purchasing as a key member of the site leadership team and contribute to broader operational initiatives.
  • Train, coach, and mentor Purchasing Coordinators and Purchasing Associates.
  • Share best practices and support team development to build purchasing capability across the organization.
  • Promote food safety, GMP compliance, and workplace safety as the highest priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with menu specifications, food safety requirements, and operational standards.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, or related experience.
  • Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing, food production, distribution, or similar environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related business applications.
  • Ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • Food manufacturing, food service, or consumer packaged goods industry experience.
  • Experience with inventory management and purchasing within a multi-site operation.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions or product launches.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, and move throughout warehouse and production environments as needed.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand movements, including typing, writing, and data entry.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move materials consistent with normal job functions.

Hourly Range: $29.00 - $38.00
