We’re looking for a high-energy Production Manager who thrives in the pace of a production environment and takes pride in running a tight, efficient operation.

This is not a sit-back-and-manage role. This is floor leadership first. If you’re the type of leader who enjoys solving problems in real time, coaching, improving processes, and driving results every single day.

You’ll lead production teams responsible for delivering hundreds of thousands of fresh, nutritious meals each week, while building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll have a direct impact on people, processes, and performance.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead daily production operations to ensure schedules, quality standards, and service commitments are consistently met.
  • Spend the majority of your time on the production floor setting the pace, standard, and expectations for the team.
  • Lead and manage a team of approximately 100 employees, including supervisors, frontline production, and temporary staff, building capability and driving accountability across all levels.
  • Oversee a high-volume operation producing approximately 300,000 units per week in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality, ensuring compliance with USDA, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and all internal processes.
  • Monitor and drive key operational metrics, including productivity, yield, labor efficiency, and waste, using data to inform decisions.
  • Develop and coach supervisors to strengthen leadership capability and improve team performance.
  • Build a culture where people take ownership, solve problems, and support each other.
  • Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis when issues arise, implementing long-term solutions rather than short-term fixes.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen overall operations.
  • Partner closely with FSQA, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment at all times.
  • Support operational projects, facility improvements, and initiatives that drive scalability and long-term growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume food production or manufacturing environments, with a track record of leading supervisors and frontline teams at scale
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required (written and verbal) to effectively lead, coach, and communicate across the workforce
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory standards, including USDA, HACCP, SQF, and GMPs
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a strong floor presence and a “lead from the front” mindset
  • Demonstrated success driving performance, improving operational processes, and building high-performing, accountable teams
  • Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement initiatives

Nice to Have

  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) or formal continuous improvement training
  • Experience in scratch cooking or fresh food production environments
  • Multi-site or large-scale operation experience (200+ employees)
  • Experience supporting facility expansions, new site openings, or major operational transformations
  • Familiarity with automation, production technology, or AI-driven systems in manufacturing environments
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems and data-driven performance management (OEE, yield, labor efficiency)
