This is a high-impact FP&A role supporting a mission-driven, growth-focused organization. As the Finance Manager, you will partner closely with the Director of FP&A and executive leadership to drive financial performance, improve forecasting accuracy, and build scalable processes and models.
You’ll lead core planning cycles, deliver insight-driven reporting, support pricing and cost initiatives, and help evaluate new business opportunities, including acquisitions. This role is ideal for someone who excels in complex environments, brings strong analytical and financial modeling skills, and is motivated to raise the bar and help build a best-in-class finance function.
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and drive the development of next year’s plan in partnership with business and functional leaders.
- Manage the cash forecasting model, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and timely updates for leadership and the board.
- Create detailed variance analyses for each department and monitor performance, budget, and forecast.
- Support budget reviews and lead follow-ups to ensure accountability and action on key financial drivers.
- Build and maintain financial models to support new initiatives, business lines, and acquisitions.
- Deliver weekly exception reporting for executive and board review.
- Conduct menu forecasting and product cost analyses, tracking margins and yield across meal categories.
- Track and reconcile targeted cost savings vs. actuals, maintaining visibility on progress against goals.
- Partner with Operations, Procurement, and Culinary to analyze meal-level and ingredient-level cost drivers (labor, packaging, waste, and yield).
- Own the pricing analysis process for new RFPs and renewals, ensuring alignment with margin and cost targets.
- Lead financial modeling and scenario planning to support pricing strategies and competitive positioning.
- Build and refine models that provide actionable insight into production efficiency, logistics costs, and menu economics.
- Provide financial due diligence and valuation analysis for potential acquisitions and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor KPIs that drive operational improvement.
- Oversee preparation of weekly and monthly performance reports, including key financial summaries for leadership and the board.
- Collaborate with data teams to automate reporting and improve financial visibility through tools such as Planful, Power BI, or Spotlight.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of financial data across systems and models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5–8 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with proven success in driving planning, forecasting, and analysis initiatives; background in Big 4 accounting or large-scale FP&A organizations
- Background in food, CPG, manufacturing, meal production, or multi-site operations.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and Excel/Google Sheets; strong knowledge of ERP and reporting tools.
- Proven ability to create structure, process, and insight in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical problem-solver with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of influencing and partnering with senior leadership.
Salary Range: $142,000 - $165,000
