Revolution Foods
Are you a strategic and hands-on procurement professional with a passion for packaging, sourcing, and supply chain optimization? Revolution Foods is looking for a Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of packaging, supplies, and support services across all regions. This role is critical to ensuring our Operations teams have the right materials, at the right time, in the most cost-effective way—while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
This is not just a buying role—it’s a key strategic position focused on packaging innovation and supplier collaboration. You’ll work closely with product development, marketing, and production teams to identify and implement the best primary and secondary packaging solutions that meet our customer needs, operational efficiency goals, and sustainability initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Optimize Procurement Processes: Build systems to manage indirect material procurement, utilizing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast and determine supply needs.
- Strategic Buying & Inventory Management: Create purchase orders aligned with the production schedule, minimizing excess inventory while ensuring seamless operations.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Develop relationships with existing and potential vendors, negotiating contracts, improving service levels, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Packaging Leadership: Act as the company’s go-to expert on all things packaging, ensuring packaging materials meet functional, aesthetic, and quality requirements (heating, weight, sealing, etc.), and working cross-functionally to optimize packaging for product launches.
- Problem Solving & Quality Control: Identify and resolve issues related to purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries. Address quality concerns and drive improvements in vendor performance.
- Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction: Analyze sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and financial impacts to drive efficiency and savings while maintaining high product quality.
- Data & Process Optimization: Maintain accurate vendor and item details in internal databases, use data analytics to predict shortages, and develop replenishment strategies for indirect materials.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Sourcing Directors, Purchasing Managers, and Operations leaders to align purchasing decisions with business goals and growth strategies.
What We're Looking For:
- 6–10 years of procurement experience, ideally in packaging, supplies, or multi-category sourcing (products & services).
- CPG packaging materials experience is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (High School diploma required).
- Expertise in ERP/MRP systems with the ability to train and mentor others in best practices.
- Data-driven mindset—strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, cost analysis, and inventory forecasting. Excel proficiency is a must.
- Problem-solving leader—an action-oriented self-starter who can drive change and implement operational improvements.
- Strong collaborator—able to build trusted relationships across departments and influence decisions at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal, with confidence in presenting to peers and executives.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work in a mixed office and warehouse environment, with occasional refrigerated warehouse visits.
- Limited travel as needed.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
