Medical Editor

Who We’re Looking For:

MyHealthTeam is seeking a Medical Editor with a graduate-level degree in medicine (M.D., D.O., PharmD) to join our Content Team, focused on enhancing the accuracy and readability of materials related to over 50 chronic conditions. This role offers a chance to develop and manage content, ensure medical accuracy, and communicate complex medical ideas to a general audience. Ideal candidates will have strong editing skills, experience in medical content creation, and, preferably, fluency in Spanish.

What you get to do every day:

• Providing editorial support, including developing content, giving assignments to freelance writers, editing manuscripts, and managing projects
• Reviewing content for medical accuracy if you have an M.D., D.O., or PharmD
• Assisting with the coordination of content between MyHealthTeam and medical experts for review
• Communicating complex medical concepts to readers who have no medical education
• Writing articles, as needed
• Working with copy editors on copy edits conforming to AP Style and MyHealthTeam’s house style
• Editing articles in Spanish, if fluent

What We’re Looking For:

• A graduate level degree from a medical program, such as an M.D., D.O., PharmD, or a medical master’s
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to edit articles according to style guidelines
• Experience with consumer health content, medical digital content, or pharma content
• Ability to fact-check and research medical and/or scientific data
• Familiarity with G Suite and project management tools like Asana
• A team player
• Desire to fulfill the mission of improving outcomes for people with chronic conditions

We would strongly prefer if you had:

• An M.D. or D.O. degree with a completed adult medicine residency program
• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish
• One to three years experience in an editorial position

Expected Salary Range

$80,000 — $130,000
