Role at a Glance
This position is responsible for collaborating with our engineering team to pioneer a new approach to visual inspections for U.S. Navy assets. You will perform and validate Level 1 inspections, generate G1N6 reports and supporting documentation, and work closely with hardware and software teams to modernize how inspection data is collected and analyzed.
What You Will Do
Travel to USN facilities for collection of inspection data.
Travel to Gecko facilities to work side-by-side with our operators to produce best-in-class Level 1 inspection deliverables.
Certify and sign off on inspection deliverables for use by the US Navy.
Travel to Gecko facilities to work side-by-side with our engineers to produce hardware and software solutions to enable best-in-class digital-first Level 1 inspection.
Technologies We Use
Cameras, Lidar, Drones, internally developed visual inspection software tools.
About You
Required Skills
US Citizen
Currently hold certification of completion for NACE (AMPP) International Shipboard Corrosion Assessment Training (S-CAT) course.
Completion of a minimum of a 3 month period of on the job training (OJT) under the direct oversight and instruction of a qualified Level 1 Surveyor who has a minimum of three years of experience, and accomplishment of all applicable requirements. The 3-month OJT period may have commenced up to 6 months prior to the individual’s successful completion of the S-CAT course.
Preferred Skills

Qualified Level 1 Surveyor who has a minimum of three years of experience, with the capability to supervise and certify Level 1 surveyors in training, and accomplishment of all requirements below.
Qualified Level 1 Surveyor with at least three years of experience.
Completed condition surveys on 50+ compartments or 100+ hours of surveys.
Proficiency in MRC G1N5 and G1N6 survey reporting forms, with strong written and verbal skills.
Familiarity with data entry systems such as CCIMS and CADET.
Working knowledge of Navy requirements for surface preparation and coatings.
Passion for modernizing Navy maintenance through digitization and efficiency.
