Role at a Glance

We are seeking a seasoned Controller to oversee the Accounting function and drive operational excellence in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The Controller will lead an established team and ensure accurate, efficient, and GAAP-compliant financial operations while partnering with leadership to support strategic growth initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who has led accounting at scale and excels in optimizing systems, managing risk, and delivering timely, transparent financial insights.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee all accounting functions including GL, AP, AR, payroll, tax compliance, consolidations, and multi-entity reporting.

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.

  • Prepare and review financial statements and internal management reports for senior leadership.

  • Lead audit readiness and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.

  • Enhance and monitor internal controls, ensuring compliance with SOX, GAAP, and international accounting standards.

  • Optimize ERP and other accounting systems to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.

  • Partner with FP&A and Accounting teams to align accounting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team.

  • Provide leadership with insights on risks, compliance, and long-term financial strategy.

About You

Required Skills

  • CPA required.

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, consolidations, and compliance frameworks (SOX preferred).

  • Proven experience in a mid-to-large company environment with multi-entity operations.

  • ERP expertise (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Workday preferred).

  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills.

  • Strong ability to implement process improvements and leverage technology at scale.

Preferred Skills

  • International accounting experience and multi-currency reporting.

  • Audit committee and board reporting experience.

  • Background in SaaS, technology, or other high-complexity industries.
