Job Title: Cost Estimator Manager

Location: Fictiv Monterrey, México

Impact in This Role:

Are you ready to take the lead in cost estimation? Fictiv Mexico is seeking a skilled Cost Estimator Manager to oversee our cost estimation processes. In this pivotal role, you'll manage a dynamic team of cost estimators, collaborating closely with project managers to deliver accurate and timely estimates that drive project efficiency and profitability. While you will be located in the Monterrey, México area the position itself will have a global focus.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the cost estimation team, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.

- Develop and implement innovative cost estimation methodologies and processes.

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather essential project information and specifications.

- Analyze project documentation, including specifications and drawings, to create detailed and accurate cost estimates.

- Maintain a comprehensive database of historical costs for benchmarking and analysis.

- Review and validate team estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose strategies to enhance project profitability.

- Present detailed cost estimates to stakeholders, ensuring clear justifications and explanations.

- Stay updated on industry trends to ensure competitive pricing and effective cost strategies.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Physical Demands:

- This role requires sitting, walking, talking, and using hands for tasks such as typing and handling documents. Employees may also need to kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Travel Expectations:

- Travel requirements are expected to be between 11-25%.

Desired Traits and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

- A minimum of five years of experience in cost estimation, with at least five years in a managerial capacity.

- Professional certification, such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), is highly desirable.

- Experience in manufacturing, particularly in injection molding, sheet metal, and CNC processes.

- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and strong understanding of estimating software and tools.

- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
