At Fictiv, we’re on a mission to create the world’s premier platform for hardware manufacturing, and we need your expertise to make it happen. We’re seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to play a pivotal role in our operations, bridging the gap between our builders and manufacturing partners.

Your Role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer (Cost & DFM) at Fictiv, you will be the critical link between our two sets of customers: builders who order parts through us and our manufacturing partners who bring those parts to life. You will use your mechanical engineering expertise to ensure seamless collaboration between both sides, driving improvements and ensuring the highest quality in manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do:

- Release Package Review: Analyze models, drawings, parts lists, and other data to determine scope of work, feasibility for manufacturing, manufacturing requirements, and minimum lead time.

- Quoting: Combine your analysis with Fictiv’s software recommendations to generate accurate and competitive quotes for builders.

- Calculator Generation: Utilize your fabrication expertise to develop cost calculators, allowing Fictiv to streamline quoting for new service offerings.

- DFx Feedback: Provide valuable DFx feedback to builders, suggesting design alterations to enhance manufacturability, reduce costs, or improve ease of assembly.

- Automation Feedback: Collaborate with the quoting software team to refine and improve the accuracy of our automated quoting system.

- Drawing Generation: Create high-quality 2D drawings in compliance with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards.

What We’re Looking For:

- Experience: 7-10 years in a similar role.

- Skills: Meticulous, detail-oriented, and an inclination for documentation.

- Languages: Fluency in business English and Spanish.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Self-Motivation: A self-starter who manages time efficiently and completes work without active supervision.

- Teaching Spirit: Enjoys sharing knowledge and teaching others about manufacturing processes.
