Impact In This Role

Are you passionate about quality control and have a keen eye for detail? Fictiv is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician - Plastics to join our team. In this role, you'll review quality inspections of parts and documents from our manufacturing partners, ensuring that we deliver the highest quality parts to our customers. Your expertise in manufacturing quality issues and mechanical hardware inspection will be critical in identifying issues and contributing to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing partner network.

Your collaborative nature will be vital as you interact daily with fellow inspectors, logistics, and customer support teams. Additionally, you'll take on various long-term projects and help develop QC-related processes. Your work will give customers confidence in Fictiv's quality management, ensuring we meet or exceed their standards.

Areas of Responsibility

- Complete quality inspections of orders using photos and inspection records in our proprietary software, following the daily schedule.

- Communicate with manufacturing partners to clarify and resolve issues with customer orders.

- Liaise with the technical customer success team to obtain waiver request approvals from customers as needed.

- Collaborate with supplier quality engineers to provide feedback to manufacturing partners and ensure appropriate actions are taken.

- Ensure timely release of parts, supporting manufacturing partners in on-time shipment of orders.

- Maintain inspection information in Fictiv’s systems for traceability and compliance with our quality management system.

- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of workflows and the development of proprietary tools.

Physical Demands

- Working at a desk for extended periods.

- Lifting weights over 35 pounds.

Desired Traits, Qualifications, Education, and Experience Equivalency

- Minimum: 5+ years of experience as a Quality Technician or similar role.

- Strong knowledge in plastics required.

- Familiarity with CNC, sheet metal, and injection molding processes.

- Preferred: New graduates with a minimum of 2+ years of experience.

- Minimum academic requirement: Completed technical career or newly graduated in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.

- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.

- Willingness to travel locally (26-50%).
