About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced (Senior) Material Planner to join our Material Planning team. In this role, you will ensure the timely and efficient management and distribution of materials essential for Enpal’s core operations. This is a critical position for a detail-oriented professional with a strong grasp of supply chain management, procurement processes, and inventory control in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

Material Planning

• Ownership: Take charge of specific commodities or groups of materials.
• MRP Systems: Develop and maintain material requirements planning systems to ensure optimal inventory levels for PV system components.
• Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Risk Management: Monitor demand patterns, identify potential supply chain risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Inventory Management

• Optimization: Manage inventory levels to minimize excess stock while avoiding shortages, ensuring materials are available for customer orders.
• Reviews: Conduct regular inventory reviews with procurement and logistics teams to mitigate risks and optimize stock levels.
• System Implementation: Implement and refine inventory management systems and processes.

Demand Forecasting

• Collaboration: Work with Product, Engineering, and Project Management teams to forecast material needs.
• Alignment: Ensure alignment between material availability and new product introductions to prevent delays.
• Communication: Effectively address material-related issues that could impact material availability with cross-functional teams.

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Analysis: Examine material usage and demand patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, material availability, and supply chain performance to senior management.
• Decision-Making: Use data-driven insights to enhance material planning processes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Progressive career in Material planning, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Skills: Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and inventory management principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and supply chain management software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Experience in the photovoltaic or renewable energy industry.
• Certifications: Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP).
• Methodologies: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
